SingLinkVPN Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 24, 2025
SingLinkVPN (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") is committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your personal information secure. This Privacy Policy explains how SINGLINKTECH PTE. LTD., Singapore (hereinafter referred to as " SingLinkTech ", "we", " us " or " our ") collects, uses and protects your data when you use the SingLinkVPN application or visit our website. This policy also explains your rights with respect to your personal data and how to exercise them. By using SingLinkVPN, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We follow industry standard privacy practices (the same as those adopted by leading VPN providers) to ensure your information is treated appropriately. Our guiding principle is to collect only the minimum data necessary to operate our VPN service to a high standard. We do not collect or log your VPN browsing activity . We will never misuse or share data that we do not originally own . Please read this policy carefully to understand how we protect your privacy.
1. Information We Collect and
No-logging policy
Account Information: When you register for SingLinkVPN, we only require a small amount of information to create an account. You will create an account credential (such as a username or similar identifier) and a password. When registering , we do not require you to provide an email address or phone number for verification . This means that you can use our services without providing personal contact information. If you choose to voluntarily provide contact information (for example, by contacting customer service via email), we will receive the information you provide, but this is optional and not required to use the VPN service.
Payment Information: To subscribe to SingLinkVPN's premium features, you may be required to provide payment information. We do not collect or store your full financial information (such as credit card number) nor do we store this information on our servers.
- For iOS users , all subscriptions and payments are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. This means that your payment information is collected and processed by Apple Inc. and is subject to Apple's privacy and security policies. We receive purchase confirmation and basic records (such as transaction ID or subscription status) from Apple, but we do not view your credit card information or personal financial data.
- For Android (and other platforms like Windows) , subscriptions may be processed through the Google Play Store or other third-party payment processors. Again, these platforms handle your payment details in accordance with their own privacy protections. In some cases (for example, if you purchase through our website or a non-app platform), we may use a secure payment provider (such as a credit card processor or online payment service). These third-party payment processors will collect billing details (such as your name, billing address, and payment method) to complete the transaction. We only receive limited information necessary to activate your subscription (such as payment confirmation, the plan you selected, or order reference). Our systems do not store credit card numbers or bank account information . Please refer to the privacy policy of Apple, Google, or the specific payment processor for more details on how they handle your payment data.
Service Usage Data (Minimal and Anonymous): SingLinkVPN adheres to a strict no-logging policy . We do not collect any information about your online activities through the VPN tunnel . To operate the service and ensure quality, we may log minimal technical information on our servers, but never in a way that could identify your online activities. For example, our systems may monitor the total number of active connections or server load, or basic aggregate statistics (such as the total amount of data transferred or the number of successful connection attempts) to help us optimize network performance and support. This data is never tied to an individual user and does not contain any details about your specific online behavior. We do not monitor, log or store any of the following information:
- VPN Traffic Content: We do not log the websites you visit, the data you transfer, or any of your internet traffic content while connected to SingLinkVPN. This means we do not view or log your browsing history, the content of your communications, or the applications you use through the VPN.
- DNS Queries: We do not log DNS requests you make while connected to our VPN. Any domain name query operations you perform while using the service will not be logged by us.
- IP Address and Connection Logs: We do not log your original source IP address (i.e. the IP address from which you access our service) or the VPN IP address assigned to you when you connect. We also do not log connection timestamps, session lengths, or disconnect times. In short, we do not keep any connection logs that could tie your identity to your VPN session .
- User activity logs: We do not collect any logs of your online activity, including traffic destination (servers, websites or IPs you connect to through VPN), packet inspection, and content used. We also do not use any persistent identifiers that could track your activity across sessions.
Our servers are configured to run with no persistent user logs , ensuring that everything you do online with SingLinkVPN remains private . Since we don’t collect this sensitive information, we won’t share it with anyone, even if asked. This no-logging approach has become the industry standard for trustworthy VPN services, and SingLinkVPN also upholds this standard to protect the privacy of its users.
Other information you provide: If you contact our support team (for example, by sending an email to our support address), we will collect the information you provide in that communication, such as your email address (if you contact us using that address), and the details of your support request. We only use this information to assist you and resolve your inquiry. Support communications will be kept strictly confidential. We may also keep records of your communications to improve our customer service. These support-related records are retained only as long as necessary (for example, to resolve your issue and for subsequent support reference) and are protected by the same privacy principles outlined in this policy.
Summary of our No-Logs Promise: Aside from the limited data mentioned above (account credentials and subscription status, and optional support or diagnostic information), SingLinkVPN does not collect any data that could personally link you to your VPN usage . We designed our systems from the ground up to avoid storing sensitive data. We will not misuse data that we never collected. This means that we will not provide any VPN session logs or activity data, even if we are compelled by legal process.
2. How we use your information
We use the limited information we collect strictly for the following purposes:
- Providing VPN Services: We use your account credentials to authenticate your identity and allow you to use SingLinkVPN. For example, when you log in and connect to our VPN servers, our systems check your account ID/username and password to ensure that you are a registered user. Any necessary technical data (described above) is used to establish and maintain your VPN connection and to ensure that it functions properly. We also use your information to enforce our usage policies (for example, to ensure that an account is not used on more devices simultaneously than permitted by our terms, if such restrictions apply).
- Managing subscriptions and payments: We process information related to your subscription to activate your paid VPN service, manage the subscription status of your account, and process renewals or cancellations. This includes verifying that the purchase was made through Apple, Google, or other payment platforms, and enabling the appropriate VPN access during your subscription. We may also use your information to send you transactional information, such as confirming that your payment has been received, notifying you of your subscription renewal date, or alerting you to any issues with your account (e.g., payment failures or changes to our services). These communications will be limited and not promotional in nature - they are used only to ensure that you receive uninterrupted service or to fulfill our contractual obligations to you.
- Customer Support and Communication: If you seek help, we will use the information you provide (such as your support email address and problem description) to solve the problem, answer your questions and improve your experience. For example, if you report a technical issue, our support and engineering teams may use error logs or diagnostic information (if available, and only with your consent when necessary) to identify and resolve the issue. We may also use the contact information you provide (if you provide a support email address, or we can notify you in the application) to inform you of key updates or important information about the service (for example, security updates or changes to the terms). Because an email address is not required for registration, we do not send marketing emails ; we will only send you service-related messages or responses to your inquiries unless you separately choose to subscribe to certain newsletters or marketing information (which are not part of SingLinkVPN's default services).
- Service Improvement and Analytics: We are constantly working to improve the performance, reliability, and functionality of SingLinkVPN. To do this, we may use anonymous, aggregated usage data and diagnostic information. For example, we may analyze overall connection success rates, app crash reports, or general trends (such as peak usage times or the most popular server locations overall) to identify areas for optimization. These analyses are never linked to individual users. In some cases, we use third-party analytics tools to assist us (see the "Cookies and Third-Party Tools" section below), but such data does not contain personal information and is limited to technical information such as device type, app version, or aggregated usage metrics. Any optional sharing of diagnostic data from the app (such as the optional crash reporting feature) will be optional - you must explicitly enable it, and even if enabled, the data collected will not include personal identifiers or VPN usage details.
- Advertising and Marketing (Limited Data Use): SingLinkTech uses third-party advertising platforms such as Google Ads and Twitter Ads to promote our services to new users. However, we do not use your personal account data or VPN usage data for targeted advertising. We may use information about how our website is used (through cookies or pixels) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising or to reach audiences who may be interested in SingLinkVPN. For example, if you visit our website, we may later show you an ad about SingLinkVPN on Google or Twitter - this is achieved through cookies and tracking pixels, but not by sharing any personally identifiable information about you. Any marketing messages we send directly (if any) are only sent to users who have provided contact information and agreed to receive such messages. By default, you will not receive marketing emails from us because we do not collect email addresses at the time of registration. We use advertising tools primarily for promotion on the website and do not share your personal data, such as name or account details, with advertisers.
- Preventing Fraud and Abuse: We may use information such as account activity and technical data to detect and prevent fraud or abuse of our services. This includes preventing unauthorized account access, preventing abuse of our VPN servers (such as sending spam or other illegal activity through our infrastructure), and enforcing our Terms of Service. For example, if we detect an unusual pattern that suggests an account is being shared by many people (a violation of our Terms), we may investigate using the limited data we have (account login timestamps or IP ranges) to identify the issue. Our goal is to protect SingLinkVPN and its users from activity that may compromise security or violate our Terms. Any use of this data is done with a high degree of privacy and in accordance with our no-logging policy (since we do not have detailed usage logs, our ability to analyze activity is limited to account-related events).
- Legal Compliance: If we have a legal obligation to process certain data (for example, to comply with a valid subpoena or court order, or to meet financial and tax recordkeeping requirements), we will use and disclose the minimum amount of information necessary to fulfill that obligation. For example, financial regulations may require us to retain basic transaction records for a certain period of time (e.g., proof of subscription payment). Similarly, if law enforcement or a court requests information we are legally compelled to provide, we may have to comply , but we will only provide information we have . Due to our no-logs policy, we cannot provide data we have not collected , and our responses to such requests are limited to available account or payment information, not your VPN activity.
No Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party . All data collected is used only to provide and improve our services and for the purposes listed above. We only share information with third parties in the ways described in this Privacy Policy (see the next section on Cookies and Service Providers) and never for third parties’ own marketing purposes.
3. Cookies and third-party tools
Like most online services, our websites and applications may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance functionality, analyze usage, and support our advertising efforts. This section describes how we use these technologies and how we involve third-party services.
What are Cookies: Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help a website remember your visit. SingLinkVPN's websites use cookies to ensure they function properly and enhance your experience. For example, cookies can remember your language preferences or keep you logged in to your account portal (if we provide web account access). Cookies also help us understand how visitors use our website so that we can make improvements.
Types of Cookies we use:
- Essential Cookies: These cookies are necessary for our website to function properly and will affect core functionality if disabled. For example, if our website includes a login page or a subscription purchase page, an essential cookie may be used to keep you logged in between sessions or remember the items in your shopping cart. We may also use essential cookies to remember your cookie preferences (so if you choose to opt out of certain cookies, we will remember your choice).
- Analytical Cookies: We use this information to collect anonymous information about how visitors use our website, which helps us improve our services. For example, we may use Google Analytics or similar analytical tools. Analytical cookies allow us to view aggregate statistics such as the most visited pages, how long users stay on the site, the country of visitors and how they arrived at our site. This information does not identify you personally - we do not view personal identities and do not combine analytical information with any personal data (such as account information). Analytical data helps us understand user interests and improve website content and navigation. For example, Google Analytics uses its own cookies to perform these services; Google may also use the data collected to improve their own services. If you wish, you can opt out of Google Analytics using the browser plug-in provided by Google.
- Advertising Cookies (Marketing Cookies): These cookies are used to support our advertising and marketing efforts on third-party platforms . SingLinkTech places ads on platforms such as Google and Twitter to attract new users. Advertising cookies help us serve more relevant ads and measure their effectiveness. For example:
- We use Google Ads cookies (such as the Google DoubleClick cookie) on our website. This cookie allows Google and its partners to show ads to users who have visited our website. It may track that you have visited our website and ensure that you see SingLinkVPN ads later on the Google network. These cookies also help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns (for example, if you click on one of our Google ads and sign up, this cookie helps us understand the effectiveness of the ad).
- We use Twitter Ads (X) tracking pixels/cookies. When you visit our website, the Twitter Ads pixel may record your visit. This helps us show you relevant ads on Twitter (now called X) and allows us to measure whether our Twitter ad campaigns lead to visits or registrations on our website. The information shared with Twitter via this pixel does not include your personal information from SingLinkVPN, but it may tell Twitter that an unidentified user (linked to a browser cookie ID) has visited our website.
- Similarly, if we run advertising campaigns on platforms such as Facebook, X (Twitter) or other advertising networks, we may use other marketing cookies or pixels from those platforms, although Google and Twitter were specifically mentioned in the question. These cookies work by recognizing your browser or device via a random ID and tracking your browsing across our website and other websites. They do not provide us with personal information such as your name or email , but they enable advertising platforms to recognize your device and serve ads.
These third-party advertising and analytics partners' tools may automatically receive certain technical information when they are activated on our website, such as your IP address, browser type, and which page you visited on our website. They use this information to provide their services (for example, to target our ads or generate anonymous usage statistics). We make sure that no sensitive personal data (such as account information or VPN usage) is passed through these cookies.
Third-party tools and services: In addition to cookies, we may integrate certain third-party services into our applications or websites:
- We may use analytics SDKs or crash reporting tools (for example, tools like Firebase Analytics or Sentry for crash logs) in our mobile/desktop apps to help us understand the performance and stability of our apps. If used, these tools collect device information (such as device model, OS version) and app events (such as errors or features used), but not your browsing content or personally identifiable information . Any diagnostic data is anonymized or aggregated. You can usually choose whether to share diagnostic telemetry data through the app settings.
- Our website may include embedded content or scripts from partners (for example, live chat widgets or social media sharing buttons). These content or scripts may also set cookies. For example, if we have a Twitter "Tweet" button or a Facebook "Like" button on our website, these platforms may set cookies to recognize you when you are logged into their services . We currently primarily use advertising and analytics scripts as described above, and any other third-party integrations will be clearly stated or covered in this policy.
Your choices regarding cookies: When you first visit our website, you may be notified of our use of cookies. You can choose to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Most web browsers also allow you to control cookies through their settings:
- You can set your browser to refuse all or some cookies, or to prompt you before accepting a cookie. You can also delete cookies that have already been set. Please note that if you disable cookies completely, some features of our website (especially login or payment processes) may not work properly.
- To explicitly opt out of Google's advertising cookies, you can visit the Google Ads Settings page and adjust your preferences. Google also participates in industry opt-out platforms such as the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), where you can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies.
- For Twitter Ads (X) , you can control whether Twitter uses website data to show you tailored ads by adjusting the privacy settings in your Twitter account (under “ Personalization and Data ”). Twitter also participates in certain industry opt-out programs. Additionally, enabling the “Do Not Track” feature in your browser may also be honored to some extent by Twitter Analytics.
- If we use any other advertising cookies (such as cookies from Facebook or other platforms), you can also opt out through the settings of those platforms or through universal opt-out tools (such as the DAA website).
Third-party privacy policies: The third-party services we use (Google, Twitter/X, etc.) have their own privacy policies, which we recommend you read carefully. For example, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy to learn how Google uses data from websites or apps that use its services; refer to the Twitter Privacy Policy to learn how Twitter uses data for advertising. We use these tools in a manner consistent with our privacy commitments: we do not send them personal customer data generated when you use our VPN service, and we configure it to protect your anonymity as much as possible.
In summary, the cookies and third-party tools on our website/app are only used to operate and improve our services and to advertise in a privacy-focused manner . You can control these technologies through your browser or device settings, and using our website with cookies disabled will not affect the core VPN service (although website functionality may be limited).
4. Payment Processing and Financial Data
SingLinkTech uses a reputable third-party platform to process all payments for SingLinkVPN. We use this approach to ensure that your financial data is handled securely and in compliance with relevant standards (such as PCI DSS for credit cards). Payment data is processed as follows:
- Apple App Store (iOS): If you subscribe to SingLinkVPN through our iOS app, your purchase will be processed by Apple. Your Apple ID account will process the transaction, and Apple may collect your payment method (e.g., credit card or Apple account balance) and billing details. Apple does not share your personal payment information with us. We will receive payment notifications from Apple, along with information such as the subscription tier you selected, the subscription length (e.g., monthly or annually), and the transaction ID or receipt. We use this information to activate your premium VPN access. If you agree, Apple may provide us with certain user details (e.g., Apple now allows users to share email addresses with the app; if you choose to hide your email address, we will not be able to obtain it). Generally, we only see an anonymous identifier for your Apple subscription. Apple's own privacy policy and App Store terms govern your data during this process. (You can view Apple's privacy commitments on its website.)
- Google Play Store (Android): If you subscribe through the Google Play Store on an Android device, the transaction is processed by Google. Like Apple, Google will charge or otherwise process the payment to your saved payment method. We do not receive your credit card information. Google provides us with information such as that you purchased a subscription, a product identifier (e.g., "SingLinkVPN 1-month plan"), and an order number or transaction token. We use this information to grant you access to the VPN Service. Google may share your Google Account email address with us if necessary for subscription management, but because our own registration does not require an email address, we generally track subscriptions on our side by the transaction ID and link it internally to your SingLinkVPN account. Google's Privacy Policy and Google Play Terms apply to their processing of your payment data.
- Direct Credit Card/Other Payment Processors (Windows and Others): If you use SingLinkVPN on a platform that does not accept payments through Apple or Google (for example, if you purchase a subscription from our official website for use on Windows or other devices), we use an external payment provider to process that payment. This might be a service like Stripe, PayPal, Paddle, or another payment gateway . When you enter your credit card or payment information, you are actually providing it to this third-party processor (either through an embedded form or redirection), not directly to SingLinkTech. The payment processor will securely process the transaction and may provide us with limited information, such as:
- Confirm that the payment was successful (so that we can activate your account).
- The type of subscription or product you purchased.
- We may collect your name or email if your receipt requires this information (for example, some payment processors send receipt emails or require emails when making transactions). If we receive your email or name through the payment process, we will treat it as personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and use it only for necessary communications (for example, to send you a receipt or link your subscription to an account), and we will not use it for marketing activities without your consent.
- A record ID or transaction reference used for our bookkeeping.
We and our payment partners use this information to administer subscriptions (for example, to know when your subscription expires or to process refund requests). We do not store your full credit card number, expiration date, or security code. Payment processors may store your payment method under strict security measures for future renewals (if you choose to make recurring payments), but we only have a token or reference to that stored payment method, not the details themselves.
We select trusted PCI-compliant payment partners to ensure your financial data is encrypted and securely processed using industry-standard encryption. All transactions conducted through our app or website are encrypted via HTTPS, and all in-app purchases use the platform's security mechanisms.
Fraud Prevention: Information received during the payment process may be used for fraud screening. For example, a payment processor may automatically assess the fraud risk of a transaction (e.g., using information such as your IP address, card issuer, etc.). If a transaction is flagged (e.g., high risk or suspected card theft), we may be notified and the transaction may not be completed. These measures protect you and us from fraudulent charges.
Tax and Recordkeeping: We may retain some transaction data (purchase amount, date, country for tax purposes, etc.) for accounting, tax and legal compliance purposes. For example, if your purchase is subject to VAT/GST, we must record your country in order to handle the tax correctly. This information will be kept in our secure records but will not be used to track your VPN usage or anything non-payment related. We only retain payment records for as long as necessary for audit and legal requirements.
Important: When making a purchase, you are also subject to the terms and privacy policies of the third-party payment platforms . We recommend that you read these terms and privacy policies carefully (for example, the terms you agree to when using the Apple or Google stores, or the privacy policies you agree to when using payment gateways such as Stripe or PayPal). SingLinkTech is not responsible for the information that third parties collect directly from you during the payment process, but we make sure to work with reputable companies.
If you have any questions about payment security or privacy, please feel free to contact us via the support email provided in the "Contact Us" section. We try to minimize the information we collect and ensure that your financial interactions with SingLinkVPN are secure and private.
5. Managing your account and personal data
We believe in transparency and putting our users in control of their data. Since SingLinkVPN collects very limited personal data, managing your information is simple. You can view and control the data associated with your account in the following ways:
Accessing your account information: You can view basic account information by logging into your SingLinkVPN account (possibly through our Apps or, if available, through the user account portal on our website). Since we do not require personally identifiable information such as your name or email address to create an account, the information displayed in your account may be limited to:
- Your account ID or username.
- Your current subscription status and plan (for example, whether you have a free account or an active subscription, and when it expires or renews).
- Settings or preferences, if any, stored on the server side.
If you provide any optional information (e.g., email or profile details for contact), you can review and update that information in your account settings. For example, if we provide the option to add an email to receive connection alerts or newsletters, you can add or remove that option. (We don't have this option by default unless you choose to provide it.)
Updating or correcting your information: Since we only keep a small amount of data, the main thing you need to update is your password . You can change your password at any time through the application or account interface to ensure the security of your account. If we have your email address on file (again, only if you voluntarily provide it), you can update or change it as needed (for example, if you want to start receiving receipts or change your contact address). If there are any errors in your account data, you can fix them yourself directly if the interface allows, or contact our customer service for help.
View Personal Data: If you would like to know exactly what Personal Data we hold about you, you can contact us (see the Contact section) and request this information. Given our no-logs policy and minimal data collection, the only Personal Data we may typically hold includes your account identifier, your hashed password (we store passwords securely in hashed form rather than plain text), any subscription records associated with your account, and any contact or support information you have provided. We will provide you with a summary of this data upon request (after verifying your identity to protect your account).
Account Dashboard: We plan to provide users with an account dashboard where you can manage your subscription, view connected devices, and potentially even download basic usage summaries (e.g., number of connections established, etc., where available). This will not include browsing logs (because we don't have them), but it may show information such as the time of the last successful connection or the number of days of usage per month - again, this will only be enabled if we implement such features based on your needs. If such features exist, you will see them when you log in.
Portability of Personal Data: If you require mobile phone portability (for example, under certain laws you can request data in a machine-readable format), we can provide your account-related data (such as the information listed above) in JSON or CSV format upon request. However, because we hold very limited personal information, this usually only means providing your account details and transaction history.
Deletion of your account (right to erasure): You have the right to have your personal data deleted. You can request deletion of your SingLinkVPN account at any time. This process may require contacting our customer service (since we do not require an email address for registration, we may not be able to provide an automatic verification and deletion method within the App without any communication). We may provide a "delete account" option within the App that will erase your account data. Deletion of your account will generally result in:
- Permanently delete your account credentials from our authentication system (so you can no longer log in).
- Delete or anonymize any related data we have, such as subscription records linked to the account (we may still retain transaction records for legitimate business purposes, but they will no longer be linked to the deleted account in a way that identifies you; for example, we might retain a record of "Account XYZ paid in January 2025" for accounting purposes, but after deletion we might only retain it under an anonymous internal ID for tax records).
- Remove any optional personal information (if provided), such as contact email, from our database.
- Remove you from any mailing or newsletter list.
Once deleted, the process is irreversible - you must register a new account to use the service again, and your old data cannot be restored. Please also note that if you delete your account during your subscription period, you may immediately lose access without a refund (depending on our Terms of Service and the platform's refund policy). Therefore, if you plan to delete your account, please consider canceling all subscriptions first. When you request to delete your account, we will inform you of the impact so that you can make an informed decision.
Opting out of communications: As mentioned above, we send almost no emails by default. But if you have ever chosen to subscribe to a newsletter or provide contact information for updates, you can opt out at any time. Any marketing emails we send (if we do) will include an "unsubscribe" link. Transactional or essential service emails (such as payment receipts or important security notices) are not marketing emails - they are emails you receive when you use the service, but again, these are very few and far between. If you absolutely do not want to receive any emails from us, the easiest way is to not provide us with your email address (this is no problem with using a VPN). If you have already provided an email address and wish to revoke it, please let us know or use the unsubscribe option (if available).
Multi-device access: SingLinkVPN may allow you to use your account on multiple devices (e.g., a certain number of simultaneous connections). In our account or in the App, you may see a list of active sessions or connected devices (if we provide this feature for management purposes). The list may show device types or internal device IDs (e.g., "Device 1: Windows PC, connected" and "Device 2: Android phone, connected"). This is to help you manage your connections (you can remotely log out of devices, etc.). You can clear or reset these settings in the App. Again, these settings do not reveal your personal data - they are stored in your secure account login information.
In short, you are in control of your account . We ensure that you can easily access, correct or delete your data. If you need any help in managing your personal information with SingLinkVPN, you can always contact our support team and we will promptly assist you in accordance with the rights and procedures described in this Privacy Policy.
6. Security Measures
Security is at the heart of SingLinkVPN. We take extensive measures to protect all data associated with our services, especially any personal information we hold. While we deliberately minimize the data we collect, we apply strict security measures to all data:
- Data Encryption: All communications between your device and our servers, including VPN traffic and any API or account-related traffic, are encrypted. The VPN connection itself uses industry-standard encryption protocols to protect your data in transit (so not even your ISP or public Wi-Fi hotspots can eavesdrop on your VPN traffic). Likewise, any sensitive data we store (such as passwords) is encrypted or hashed. Passwords are stored using a salted, one-way cryptographic hash function, which means that even in the unlikely event of unauthorized access to our database, your actual password remains protected (and very difficult to crack). We never store passwords in plain text.
- Secure Infrastructure: Our servers and databases are hosted in a secure environment. We utilize data centers and cloud service providers with strong physical and network security. We restrict access to our servers to authorized personnel only and use firewalls and intrusion detection systems to guard against unauthorized access. We also segment and segregate data, and even internally, access is on a “need to know” basis. For example, servers that handle VPN connections do not store personal account information and vice versa; this segregation provides additional protection for data.
- No-Logs Architecture: Our VPN server network was built with privacy in mind. By design, our VPN servers do not keep logs of user activity (see our No-Logs Policy above). Many of our servers run on volatile memory (RAM) rather than persistent disk for sensitive operations, which means that even if someone were to physically hack into a server, no logs would be saved. System and application logs on our VPN nodes are either disabled or extremely simplified (only those required for network monitoring and stability are kept, and no user-identifying information is included), and are overwritten regularly. This architecture is a security feature: even if a hack were to occur, there would be little historical data to steal.
- Employee and Contractor Access: SingLinkTech's team members are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and follow the principle of least privilege. Only a very small number of senior employees have access to production systems, and even then, access is restricted and logged. Administrative access to servers requires multi-factor authentication. Our support team may access your account details (such as subscription status or account ID) to assist you, but they cannot view sensitive information that is not collected (for example, they cannot view any usage logs as they are not recorded in the logs, and cannot view passwords). Any data access is conducted through secure channels and is only used for legitimate tasks.
- Third-party service provider security: When we use third-party services (such as payment processors or analytics services), we choose reputable providers with strong security measures in place. We also ensure that any data shared with them is minimized and appropriately protected (usually through encryption or pseudonymization). For example, if our app sends crash reports through a service like Sentry, we ensure that no personal data is sent in those reports. We contractually require our service providers to protect any data we share with them and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
- Regular updates and patches: We continually update our software and systems to protect against security vulnerabilities. Our servers and applications are patched with security updates regularly. We also run the latest anti-virus or anti-malware software as needed and monitor our systems for any suspicious activity.
- Testing and Audits: We regularly perform security audits and testing of our infrastructure. This may include engaging independent security experts to perform penetration tests of our network and applications, as well as code reviews of our software to identify and fix potential security issues. We take any vulnerability reports seriously and fix issues as quickly as possible. (As per industry standards, we may also obtain an independent audit of our no-logging claim to verify our processes—if we obtain an audit or audit findings, we will share them on our website for transparency.)
- Data Breach Response: Despite all of these measures, no system is 100% immune from unexpected events. We have a data breach response plan in place. In the unlikely event of a security breach affecting your personal data, we will act quickly to contain and remediate the issue. We will also notify users and relevant authorities as required by law. Since we store very little personal data, the risk and impact of a data breach is greatly reduced, but we still prepare for the worst-case scenario to ensure we can protect our users.
- User Responsibility: We also encourage you to take steps to protect the security of your account. Choose a secure and unique password for SingLinkVPN and do not share it with others. We will never ask for your password via email or unsolicited communications. If you suspect that someone has accessed your account without authorization, please let us know immediately. We also recommend that you keep your device secure (use a PIN/password, regularly update your operating system, etc.), because if your device itself is compromised, the security of your VPN connection may be compromised.
In summary, we use state-of-the-art security measures to protect your data and our services. Protecting user privacy and data security is an important part of our company's mission. We continuously update and improve our security measures to address new threats and ensure that SingLinkVPN always provides users with safe and reliable services.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on the jurisdiction you are in, you may have certain legal rights over your personal data. SingLinkVPN is designed to comply with major data protection laws, including Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) (because we are a Singaporean company) and the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for EU users , as well as other similar laws in different regions (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the United States, etc.). We extend the spirit of these rights to all users as much as possible because we believe you should have control over your information. These rights include:
- Right of access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. As described above, such a copy may be very limited (including only account and subscription information). We will provide you with this copy in a common format (usually electronic) within a reasonable time after verifying your identity.
- Right to rectification: If any personal data we hold is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to request that it be corrected. In practice, because we hold limited data, this may involve updating the email address you have provided, or correcting the spelling of your username where we allow you to. You can make most corrections yourself through your account settings, or you can ask us to assist you.
- Right to Erasure: You have the right to request erasure of your personal data (the "right to be forgotten"). As described in the "Managing Your Account" section, you can delete your account, which will delete the personal data we hold (except for data we are obliged to retain by law). If you request erasure, we will delete the data we do not need to maintain and notify you when we have done so. Please note that if you delete your data/account, you will lose access to the Services and any remaining subscription time, and we will not be able to restore the account.
- Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to ask us to restrict or suspend the processing of your data in certain circumstances. For example, if you dispute the accuracy of the data we hold about you, or have objected to our processing of your data (see below), you can request a restriction of processing until the issue is resolved. Given our limited processing capabilities, this right may apply in situations where you have provided an email address and then declined to receive any communications; we can mark it for do not process (i.e. ensure that you do not receive any emails) without completely deleting the account. We will respect such requests where applicable.
- Right to object: You have the right to object to certain types of data processing. For example, if we process your data for direct marketing purposes (which we generally won’t do unless you have opted in), you can object and we will stop such processing. In some cases, you can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. SingLinkVPN’s primary processing purpose is to provide the service (contract) and for legitimate interests such as improving the service. If you object, we will review it and either stop the processing or explain why we believe we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue processing (in compliance with legal requirements). For example, if you object to us using minimal data points to improve the service, we may agree and stop including your data in the analysis (if identifiable), or if this is not possible, we may say that the only solution is to not use the service, as processing this data is inherent in providing the service. Our goal is to find a privacy-friendly solution.
- Right to data portability: You can ask us to provide your personal data to you (or a third party you specify) in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. This generally applies to data you provide to us (not data we generate). In our case, since you don’t provide much data, this may just be your account information and some optional information. We may provide this data in text or JSON format. This right mainly applies to services where you might want to transfer your data to a competitor; with a VPN, you still have this right, although the data portability is limited.
- Right to withdraw consent: If we rely on your consent to process data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. For SingLinkVPN, this may mainly apply to cookies or optional diagnostics. For example, if you consent to enable optional crash reporting in the app, you can turn it off at any time in the app settings; or if you consent to enable marketing cookies on our website, you can withdraw that setting by changing your cookie settings (and we will respect your consent and stop using those cookies). Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted before you withdrew your consent, and may mean that certain services/functionality are limited (for example, turning off crash reporting means we will not be able to get the data to fix the bug you are experiencing unless you report it manually).
- Right not to be subject to automated decisions: We do not make any automated decisions about you that have a legal or significant impact (such as profiling or credit decisions). Use of the VPN Service is not subject to automated decisions, other than basic network optimization applicable to all users. If your circumstances change, you have the right not to be subject to such decisions without human intervention.
- Right to complain: If you believe your rights have been violated or have concerns about the way we process your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
- If you are in the EU , you can contact the data protection authority in your country (e.g., the CNIL in France, the ICO in the UK, etc.).
- In Singapore , you can contact the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) if necessary.
- In California , you may contact the California Attorney General or use the dispute resolution mechanisms under the CCPA, as applicable. However, we would very much like to answer your questions directly first. We take privacy very seriously and will do our best to address any concerns you may have.
These rights are subject to certain legal limitations. For example, we may not be able to delete data that we are required by law to keep (such as records of financial transactions), or we may deny a request to access data if we cannot verify the requester's identity (to prevent unauthorized access to the data). If any such limitations apply to us, we will let you know when we respond to your request.
To exercise any of your rights, you can contact us at support@singlinkvpn.com . We may need to verify your identity (to ensure that we do not accidentally disclose your data to others). For example, if you email us using a previously used support email address or provide us with your account information, we may ask you to verify your most recent connection or provide an account ID to ensure that you are the account holder. We will respond to all legitimate requests as quickly as possible, and in any case within the timeframes required by applicable law (for example, under the GDPR, we aim to respond within 30 days).
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Using SingLinkVPN gives you strong privacy protections by default, and these rights are an additional safeguard in your favor.
Notice to California residents: While SingLinkVPN does not collect personal information that is generally subject to CCPA (for example, we do not obtain your name, email, or phone number by default, and we do not sell data), if the law applies and you make a formal request under CCPA, we will respect your relevant rights (which largely overlap with the rights above). It is important to note that we reiterate that we do not sell personal information , so SingLinkVPN does not need to comply with the "opt-out sale right" stipulated in CCPA in practice.
By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy, including your rights regarding your personal data. If you have any privacy-related questions or requests, we will be happy to assist you.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will do the following:
- Notification of changes: We will post the updated Privacy Policy on our website (and, where applicable, in the App) with a new “Last Updated” date. If the changes are significant, we will post the notification in a more prominent way – for example, we may display a banner on the website or post a notification in the App to let you know about the update. In some cases, if the changes significantly affect your rights or the way we use your personal data, we may also notify you by email (if we have your email contact details) or in-app message.
- Review period (if applicable): For significant changes, we may provide you with an opportunity to review the updated policy before it takes effect. If required by law, we will obtain your consent for significant privacy policy changes (for example, if the change requires re-obtaining your consent under GDPR).
- Continued use = Acceptance: If you continue to use SingLinkVPN after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective, you accept those changes. However, if any changes require your explicit consent, we will explicitly ask for your consent (for example, if we decide to collect additional personal information (which we currently do not do), we will ask for your consent before collecting it).
- Historical Versions: For transparency purposes, we may keep earlier versions of this Privacy Policy available (for example, in the legal section of our website) so that you know what has changed. We will archive them for your reference.
We recommend that you review this Privacy Policy periodically to be informed of how we are protecting your data. You can easily access this Privacy Policy on our website (also accessible through the "Settings" or "About" sections of the application).
If you do not agree to any updates to the Privacy Policy, you should cease using the Service and (if you wish) delete your account as described above. If you have any questions about the changes, please feel free to contact us for clarification.
